About the Arizona Department of Racing
The Department of Racing regulates the Arizona pari-mutuel horse and greyhound racing industry. The Department oversees and supervises all commercial horse, greyhound, and county fair racing meetings; licenses participants; collects state revenues generated by race meetings; promotes and encourages the breeding of horses and greyhounds in the State; and enforces laws and rules related to racing and wagering to protect industry participants and the public. The Department also regulates and supervises all boxing, kickboxing, tough man, and mixed martial arts events in Arizona to ensure compliance with laws and regulation and, thereby, protect all participants.

For Boxing notices, click on Boxing Commission and Boxing Commission Agenda. 01-01-2010 All applicants for an Arizona racing license must present evidence demonstrating lawful presence in the United States. Exceptions: Licensees with unexpired documentation on file with the Department of Racing; Applicants who are citizens of a foreign country and not physically present in the United States.
